Manuel Vazquez has been with Hall of Fame Village, powered by Johnson Control since its inception and serves as Vice President of Operations and Property Management. Mr. Vazquez is an operations executive with a storied 25-year career filled with domestic and international accomplishments. He has served in executive roles with Walt Disney World Parks & Resorts, Taubman Centers, and Bed Bath & Beyond-Mexico. In his current role, Mr. Vazquez has responsibilities over areas related to asset and facilities management, as well as overall property and event operations.
During his tenure at Disney, Mr. Vazquez served as member of Disney’s Hollywood Studios steering committee and Executive Champion of Diversity & Inclusion, while leading a Guest-facing organization of over one thousand Cast Members. Mr. Vazquez played a pivotal role in growing net promoter and intent to return scores during Disney special events and celebrations such as Star Wars Weekends, ESPN-The Weekend, and Spectacle of Dancing Lights, and was humbled when asked to represent the Disney brand by leading a recruiting tour in China for its International College Program.
Mr. Vazquez has also held high profile roles with Taubman Centers and Bed Bath & Beyond-Mexico, where he was directly responsible for strategically defining and implementing startup operations on international soil. At Taubman, Mr. Vazquez served as the face and voice of the $475M Mall of San Juan project in San Juan-Puerto Rico, and was responsible for establishing shopping center operations, community and tenant relations, marketing, sponsorship, and grand opening preparations. In a project that would have him serve as an expat in Mexico, Mr. Vazquez was hand-picked to lead an operational brand extension of U.S. based Bed Bath & Beyond; establishing successful corporate and market footprints in that country. His multifaceted experience has also led to retail development consulting opportunities in different regions of Colombia.
Mr. Vazquez holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Economics from the University of Miami, a Master of Business Administration with a specialization in Global Management from the University of Phoenix, and a Management Certification from Cornell University. Mr. Vazquez has held different licenses in real estate, has had speaking opportunities at universities in both China and Mexico, and was a regular guest presenter at the University of Central Florida’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management. Mr. Vazquez and his wife Erika live in Medina, Ohio.
